My best memory of Uncle Marcus is when I was young and we were sitting at the picnic table in the backyard of the house in Newark. The family just finish a picnic lunch and everyone else went off and left us alone. We sat there for about a half hour talking about his garden, playing baseball, going to church and several other things. There was nothing special about our conversation but many times since then, I have returned to that day. It is one of my favorite childhood memories.
