Orleanais Slone Fairchild “Momaw” 91, went to be with her Heavenly Father on July 2nd, 2026. Born January 8th, 1935 in Mousie, KY to Samuel O. and Mavis (Hicks) Slone. Raised in Wayland, KY and moved to Columbus, OH with her husband Lawerence Fairchild. Married April 27th, 1956.
Orleanais is survived by her daughter Mavis (Ray) Alley, two daughters in-law, Jeanette Fairchild and Susan Manning. She is preceded in death by her father Samuel (Red) Slone, mother Mavis (Hicks) Slone, husband Lawerence Fairchild, sons Carlos and Harlan Fairchild, David Alley, and daughters Levonne and Crystal Fairchild. Orleanais enjoyed time with her family, quilting, and listening to music. She had 17 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. Orleanais also had several nieces and nephews who loved her very much. She spent a life of dedication to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Orleanais was a Sunday school teacher, and missionary leader.
Services will be held on Tuesday July 7th, 2026 at Southern Oaks Funeral Home visitation at 11 am and service beginning at 1 pm. There will be no graveside service.
