Mr. Gene Ard age 89, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Sunday, June 28, 2026 at Somerset Nursing & Rehab.
Gene was born on April 1, 1937 in Nancy, Kentucky.
He previously worked on the road construction crew for Hinkle.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Beshears Gossett, brother Jay Ard.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Judy Collin Ard, his son, Shand Ard (Sheri) of Ft. Myers, FL; daughters: Leah Mohiuddin (Syed Minhaj) of Marysville, OH; Georgetta Grubbs (Jack) of Knoxville, TN and Kristi Todd (Jason) and brother Roger Gossett of Somerset, Ky; along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
In accordance with Gene’s wishes there will be no services at this time. Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Mr. Gene Ard.
