Phyllis J. Wortman, age 78, of Somerset, Kentucky passed from life on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
Phyllis was born on January 13, 1947 in Cincinnati, Ohio in Doris Leach.
She was a member of Potters Place Church. She enjoyed attending church, Indian Pow Wows, flowers, site seeing, traveling, and listening to gospel music.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her mother Doris Leach, adopted parents: Walter and Marie Harmon.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 57 years David Lee Wortman, son Kevin Wortman (Samantha) of Eaton, OH; brother Michael Brown, sisters: Brenda Davis of GA; Kathy Wahsum (John) and Norma Brown all of Lebanon, OH; grandchildren: Michael, Serita and Valentina; along with good friends: Beverly Perry, Angie Phillips, Lupe Null, Marie McGowan and host of friends and family.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 from 11am-1pm in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 1pm with Pastor Kevin Hampton officiating. Burial will follow in Mill Springs National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pulaski County Animal Shelter. Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Phyllis J. Wortman.
