Antonio “Tony” Jeffery Peters of Somerset, Kentucky departed from this life on Wednesday July 15th, 2026. Tony was born September 21st, 1979 to Melvyn Jeffery Peters and Margarita Kiser Mounce in Somerset, Kentucky.
Tony was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. Tony is survived by his wife, Beth Ann Peters, and his adored daughters, Raegan (Dalton) Peters and Abigayle (Joe) Peters. His parents Melvyn (Anna) Peters and Margarita Kiser Mounce of Somerset, KY; mother in law, Phyllis Jones of Somerset, KY; maternal grandmother, Diane Kiser of Somerset, KY; brothers Kenneth (Jessica) Peters of Shelbyville, KY; James Ensley Peters of Mt. Orab, Ohio; sisters Cleveria (Trevor) House of Brandenburg, KY and Jamie (Greg) Hogue of Crestwood, KY; nephews Noah Colyer, Cameron House, Kaleb Peters and great nephew, Jaxon Perdue; nieces Riley (Skylar) Perdue, Eva House, Jasmyn Peters, Kyleigh Peters and ‘special niece and nephews’ Natalie, Asa, and Ezra Woodcock. He is also survived by best friends Jason Woodcock, Toby Durham, Bo Pyles, and Joey Wilson; very special family friends Chuck and Connie Woodcock and a host of other family and friends that he treasured.
Tony believed Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour. Tony cherished the years of traveling, coaching and being a spectator to daughter’s playing softball. Tony was a longtime KHSAA referee who worked with the same crew for almost 30 years. Tony coached and umpired local little leagues and loved working with the youth in the community. Tony was an honest person, with a caring heart and would help anyone.
Tony is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Betsy Peters; maternal grandfather, Danny Kiser; father in law, Melton Jones, niece Khloe Peters and a special family friend, Shane Ellis.
Visitation will be held on Monday July 20th, 2026, from 11am-2pm in the Southern Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with funeral service to begin at 2pm with Bro. Chuck Woodcock and Bro. Jonathon Logan officiating. Burial will follow in Southern Oaks Cemetery.
