Nichole Rene Cassidy, age 55, of Ferguson, Kentucky, passed from this life on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at her home.

Nichole was born on September 28, 1970 to Donald (Vicki) Cassidy  and Janice Trent in Cincinnati, Ohio.

She was of the Christian faith. She loved planting flowers, coloring, arts and crafts, working on cars with her husband, and going on drives looking at scenery. Most of all she cherished time with her husband and grandchildren.

Nichole was preceded in death by her mother, Janet Trent. 

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 42 years, Mark Shelton, her father and 2nd mother, Donald and Vicki Cassidy of Erlanger, Ky; sons: Donald Shelton, Anthony Cassidy (Makayla Jones), Brandon Cassidy (Amber Morris) and Shawn Sinclair (Shawna) all of Somerset, Ky; daughters: Tara Cassidy (Joel Whitehead) of Somerset; Brittany Kelley (Josh) of Ferguson; Raven Cassidy (Andrew Mayhew) of Somerset and Jaden Sinclair ( Jace Donovan) of Pennsylvania; brother Scott Cassidy of Lexington, Ky; grandchildren: Angel, Lexi, Kaiden, Skylynne, Kyson, Brooklyn, Hopelynn, Payzlie, Savannah, Kayden Ray, Braydon, Makenlee, Josh Jr, Lyla, Madilynn, Asher, Ava, Maddox, Liam, great-grandchildren: Colsen, Oakley, Journee, Kensley, Kylie, Kaylee, R.J., and Raelynn; special friends: Roy Wells, Cody Johnson and a host of friends and extended family.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 27, 2026 from 12pm-3pm in the Southern Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with a funeral service to begin at 3pm with Bro. Steven Bates officiating.
