We are very sorry to hear that Joyce has passed away. My mom, who passed away four years ago, LOVED Joyce. She would chat with her, bring her plates of homemade food, and visit with her. My dad loved Joyce’s Upside Down Pineapple cake because she’d put extra brown sugar in it for him. Mom also loved Joyce’s kitties, Maggie & Emma. Since mom passed away, we haven’t been regular with staying at our home there–lots of good memories–but Joyce would call and check on my dad every Monday night at 7:30. They’d talk sports, weather, and cats. We will miss Joyce very much. It will not be the same without her there. Joyce was loved.
I’m so sorry for your loss. My prayers are with the family.
I did not know your health was declining. I sent you a Christmas Card with a short story about 2023 and the family happening’s. When I didn’t hear from you I started wondering why not, because we would always catch up with a phone call every year. You and my mom were great friends which began at the U.S. Playing Card Co. Then you and I became good friends and my children Kristi, Steven and Joey loved you dearly, along with our kitty Hitcher. I was so happy to be instrumental in getting you a job at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. Then you stayed there until you retired. I loved my days there as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, but my husband was transferred to Spring Hill Tn., and I had to move. I look forward to seeing you again when our Lord and Savior decides to call me home too. What a reunion that will be for us. Mom, you and me, what a great time that will be. Lots of Love & Prayers sent to your brother and family. Brenda Atwood
