I can’t say enough about my Sister Bertha . She was my big Sister, , my friend , and someone I could call just to talk to when I needed to talk. We were a few miles a part but I tried to visit her at least once a year or as often as I could. I loved her deeply. She was a Christian that loves our Lord and Savior as I do and that made our times together even more special. Bertha I know you’re in heaven and I will see you again but that doesn’t mean I want miss our phone calls and visits and most of all I will miss you. Until we meet again. I love you!! 💕
God bless you, I am so sorry for your great loss.
I am going to miss my Sister. She wasn’t only my sister she was my best friend. I would call her as often as I could. We laughed so much when we talked on the phone or when I would visit her in Kentucky Just remembering old times.. Bertha I love you so much. I wish I could hug you just one more time. I know we will see each other again. So thankful you loved Jesus as I do. That makes missing you a little easier knowing I will get to see you again. Until then, I will always love you!
My beautiful aunt. You’ll be missed. You were my mama’s best friend. I could always tell when she’d just gotten off the phone with you because her southern accent came out and she sounded just like you. She told me about how protective you were of her and your other sisters- especially at Grace Nettleton Home. I’m so glad we were able to see you just 3 weeks ago. You weren’t saying much, but when my mama started to cry you used all the strength you had to say “Don’t be sad, Kathy”. Your nurse was so surprised to hear you. You were still protecting your baby sister. Even in your last days. What a beautiful moment. Until we meet again. Love and much respect.
Sis I love you so much and you were more like a mom to me then a sister, but I know you and ray and mom and rejoicing now that you are all together, I just know your walking on the streets of gold, and staying in that mansion up in heaven, I love you sis so much!
What a beautiful woman. My memories go back to my teenage years. One special memory when Bert and Ray were visiting our home in Alabama. While pushing the kids on the front porch swing, I witnessed Bert doing her daily exercise! Was it yoga? I was so impressed and still cherish the “talking” we shared! Bert, my parents and family cherish you and your family always.
