Christy Kay Whitson, age 64 of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Sunday, August 23, 2026 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
She was born on August 18, 1962 in Dixon, Illinois, daughter of the late Eugene and Patricia Madden Cover.
She enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids, fishing, and playing Candy Crush. She liked to joke around with her grandkids and great grandkids all the time. Christy will forever be missed but never forgotten.
She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Whitson, Sr; daughter, Heidi (Ronald) Kennedy of Nancy; brothers, Eugene Whitson of Somerset, Jimmy Whitson, Jr of Somerset, and Michael (Cassie) Dixon of Napoleon, OH; her grandkids, Kaylee Dixon, Madison Dixon, Cadien Dixon, Alissa Whitson, Breanna Cooper, and Cierra Back; and great grandkids, Tinsley Pendleton, Alaya Pendleton, and Rennley Grisier.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held a later date.
