Rodney Stevens, age 65, of Burnside, Kentucky, passed from this life on Friday, October 2, 2026 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
Rodney was born on May 29, 1961 to the late Thomas Stevens II and Maudie Branum Stevens in Somerset, Kentucky.
He enjoyed motorcycling, chicken fights, hunting, mowing, shooting pool, going to Gatlinburg, spending time with family and was of the Church of God faith.
Along with his parents, Rodney was preceded in death by his brother, Jeff Stevens and sister Sandra Sue Stevens.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife whom he married on November 22, 1984 in Burnside, Ky: Mary Vaughn Stevens; his sons: Rodney E. Stevens (Kimberly) of Somerset and Peyton Stevens (Jacklyn) of Burnside; daughters: Michelle Stevens (Troy Lewis) and Jaime Glover (Jimmy Glover) all of Somerset and Nicole Wallace (Michael) of Burnside; brothers: Thomas Stevens III, Don E. Stevens and Mike Carrender all of Burnside; along with 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2026 at 5pm in the Southern Oaks Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9, 2026 at 1pm at the funeral home with Bro. Perry Dobbs officiating. Burial will follow in Burnside Cemetery.
