Michael “Mikey” W. Price, age 53, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Sunday, August 23, 2026 at his home.
Mikey was born on September 12, 1972 to the late Junior Price and Ruby Gossett Price in Somerset, Kentucky.
He was of the Baptist faith. He worked at Walmart for 28 years and was loved by his Walmart family.
He enjoyed being outdoors, doing his yardwork, camping, fishing, and traveling to the lake. He was a huge UK Basketball fan. He most of all adored his baby girl and playing with her.
Along with his parents, Mikey was preceded in death by his sister, Rita Yanders.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 17 years, Carrie Price, son John Huffman Jr. and
(fiancé Naedean Velazquez), daughter Paisley Price all of Somerset; brother Donnie Price (Sharron) of Science Hill, Ky and sister Vickie Smith (Ryan) of Harrodsburg, Ky; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 31, 2026 from 11am-1pm in the Southern Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with a funeral service to begin at 1pm with Bro. Ferlin Price officiating. Burial will follow in Southern Oaks Cemetery.
