Julie Irene Sullivan, age 82, of Burnside, Kentucky, passed from this life on her birthday, August 8, 2026 at her home surrounded by her family. Julie was born on August 8, 1944 to the late Dallas Sullivan and Bertie Troxell Sullivan.
Julie enjoyed playing Rummy, scratch-off tickets, watching Old John Wayne shows and spending time with her family.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Christine Troxell and Loretta Jean Haynes, and a brother; Paul Edward Sullivan.
Julie leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son; Robert Sullivan of Burnside, daughters: Deborah Riley of Bronston, Darlene Sullivan of Burnside, Cindy Gibson of Nancy, and Vikki Swartz and John of Bronston, 3 grandchildren: Matthew Sellers, Brianna Stout, and Celesteen Swartz, 3 great-grandchildren: Easton Sellers, Blakeleigh Gibson and Cameron Johnson, and a bonus great-granddaughter, Ellie Shepherd.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at 11am in the Southern Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with a funeral to begin at 1pm with Bro. Rick Catron officiating. Burial will follow in Bronston Baptist Church Cemetery. Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Julie Irene Sullivan.
