Bonnie Ava (Worley) Lovely, a devoted wife, mother, and friend, passed away on Friday, May, 29, 2026 at the age of 85.
She was born on January 25, 1941 in Hill Top, Kentucky. Throughout her life, Bonnie was known for her caring heart, quiet strength, and deep dedication to her family. She found her greatest purpose in taking care of those she loved most.
Bonnie was especially devoted to her husband and her handicapped son, whom she cared for with endless patience, compassion, and love. Her selflessness and nurturing spirit were at the center of everything she did, and her family was always her highest priority.
She was a wonderful cook who expressed her love through the meals she prepared, bringing comfort and joy to those gathered around her table. In her quieter moments, she enjoyed relaxing with word search books, finding simple pleasure with peace in the activity.
She is survived by her children, Scott Lovely, Mick (Wanda) Lovely, Sheila (Philip) Spring, Vonda (Jim) Kioultzopoulos; and sisters, Lula (Bill) Strunk of Somerset, KY and Sharon Woolard of Tarboro, NC; brothers, Steve (Evelyn) Worley of Logan, WV, Willard (Jeanette) Worley of Stearns, KY, and Carlon Worley of Winfield, TN; 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Lovely; daughter, Pamela Neely; her parents, Hobart D. and Dorothy Godsey Worley; brother, Lonnie L. Worley and sister, Carol Jo Worley.
Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Hatfield officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeside Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Mickey Lovely, Jim Kioultzopoulos, Russ Strunk, Tony Strunk, Willard Worley, and Tony Worley.
