Our family was blessed to celebrate Uncle C.B.’s 100th birthday two years ago. He was a very special uncle who always welcomed everyone into his home. I have wonderful memories to keep the rest of my life. Prayers for Darcy, Pam, and their children and grandchildren.♥️
My Dad, Walter Stewart enjoyed seeing him at the reunions and celebrating his 100 th birthday.
My sympathy and condolences to the family for their loss.
I am so fortunate to have known CB. He was one of the very few true gentleman left in this world. He was always so gracious, so welcoming, so grateful for anything that you did for him. I have several good memories of him at various gatherings. Despite his physical problems, he remained clear-headed and pretty articulate. I always enjoyed spending time at his home and talking with him. He will be very much missed! I know that the family is devastated, and their lives will always have a big hole in them that CB used to fill. What a great life he had, though!
We met CB in Knoxville at Pam’s the first time around 20 years ago; we also went later to visit him in Somerset, we always sent postcards to tell him hi so he knews we are thinking of him. Like we also promessed we came over two years ago to celebrate his 100th birthday; this was a very nice day to share with. We liked CB very much; he told us from his whole life and as he was in Europe, (France and Switzerland) end of WW2.
He had a good life and now he is on the way to join all the angels; a new light will bright in our sky and not that far, in our hearts.
We send condolences to the whole family, we are thinking of you. Josiane and Kurt
