Daniel Brent Jones, age 74 of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
He was born on September 17, 1951, son of the late Daniel Ben Jones and Laverne Stevens Jones.
He was a retired Engineer for the Kentucky Department of Transportation and enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, watching basketball and westerns.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Sheila Jones; son, Travis (Melinda) Jones of Richmond, KY; daughter, Andra (Clay) Butler of Barbourville, KY; brother, Russell (Glenda) Jones of Somerset; grandchildren, Cade Daniel Jones, Callie MaKenzee Jones, Hudson Thomas Butler, and Griffin Jones Butler; brother-in-law, Tom DeBord, and mother-in-law, Verna DeBord.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation was chosen. There will be no services.
