Milton Lee DeBord, age 75 of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
He was born on March 12, 1951 in Brodhead, Kentucky, son of the late Miller and Pauline Smith DeBord.
Milton was a Veteran of the United States Army. He worked for Tecumseh for 25 years and retired from TTAI. He was an active member of the Bandy Church of Christ. He enjoyed spending time with his family, mowing grass with his grandson, fishing for crappies, junking and hunting ginseng. Milton will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, David DeBord; and a grandson, Chance Shoemake. He is survived by his son, Richard (Jessica) DeBord of Somerset; daughters, Laurie (Robin) Goff of Somerset, Jessica (AC) Collins of London, KY and Rachel (Josh) Shoemake of Somerset; brothers, Danny (Vicki) Deborde of Brodhead, KY and Tony (Maria) DeBord of Harrisburg, KY; sister, Patsy (Duayne) Nevels of Bronston; grandchildren, Brandon Goff, Jacob Goff, Toby Goff, Levi Goff, Wiley Goff, Lukas DeBord, Owen DeBord, Kolson DeBord, Edynn Duff, Ramsey Collins, Ellie Shoemake, and Sophia Shoemake. He also leaves behind three special dogs; Sparkles, Paco, and Lilly.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 29, 2026 at Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Robby Barron officiating. Burial will be in the Bandy Church of Christ Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to God’s Food Pantry or Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
