Obituary for Mary Ann Wallace
Jesus promised to return for His children.
John 14:1-3 KJV Let not your heart be troubled; ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
I know that our dear precious mother, Mary Ann Wallace was a child of the highest God our Lord Jesus Christ. The life she lived was a true example of a holiness woman. She went to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, May 20, 2026. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Lincoln Wallace; two sons, Russell Lee Wallace and Timothy Lance Wallace; one daughter, Tammie Lue Wallace Wheeler; one grandson, Michael Cagney Nicholas; one great-grandson, Lincoln Avery Wallace; and her dear daughter-in-law, Debbie Wallace whom she claimed as her own.
She is survived by her four children, Tina (Mike) Nicholas of Burnside, KY, Thurman Wallace of Dixie Bend, KY, Todd Wallace (Paul Buckley) of Cape Coral, FL and Tara (James) Foster of Punta Gorda, FL; nine grandchildren, Trista (Shane) Smith of Burnside, KY, Jacob Wallace of Dixie Bend, KY, Kristen (Jonathan) Bowling of Somerset, KY, Kendra Bell (Shawn Dalton) of Somerset, KY, Samantha Bell (Manu Varughese) of Grapevine, TX, Kelly Wallace of Cape Coral, Fl; James Foster of Ft Myers, FL, Maryann Wallace of Somerset, KY, as well as Steven (Nicole) Burton of Science Hill, KY. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
Mary’s church family was a huge part of her life as well. She was a dedicated member of the United Apostolic Church of Somerset for many years. She always put Jesus first in her life. She sacrificed a lot caring for and loving her family. To know Mary was to love her.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 28, 2026 beginning at 10:00 a.m. for family and 11:00 a.m. for friends at Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bishop Boyce Dean Spradlin officiating. Mom always said that nobody could preach like Bro. Dean. She loved him and Sister Connie like her own children. Burial will be in Blue John Cemetery in Alpine, KY.
2 Corinthians 5:8 KJV To be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
