Kenneth L. Harris, age 96, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Monday, April 13, 2026 at Rockcastle Regional Hospital.
He was born on March 14, 1930 to the late George Harris and Flora Price Harris in Dahl, Kentucky.
Kenneth was a farmer his entire life. He enjoyed working with his mules and owned and worked several teams during his lifetime. In his younger years, he raised coon hounds and loved coon hunting. He also took great pride in growing a garden every year, especially sweet potatoes. He was a member of Sinking Valley Baptist Church.
Along with his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Harris, brothers: Versal, Ray, Chet and Wayne Harris, sisters: Alta Taylor, Grace Spruill and Hulda Taylor; along with several nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his daughter, Delana Harris and son Darwin (Lisa) Harris both of Somerset; granddaughter, Shelbie Harris also of Somerset; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
A public Graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at 11am at Harris Family Cemetery
with Bro. Kevin Bullock officiating.
