Larry “Doug” Douglas Spears, age 67, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at his home.
Larry was born on August 3, 1958 to the late Arvis Spears and Mildred R. Adams in Somerset, Kentucky.
He was a member of First Baptist Church in Science Hill, Kentucky. He was a loving husband, always helped others without hesitation and caring to all. He loved his dogs “Brutus” and “Sadie”.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Gayla Spears of 18 years, stepsons, William Wright (Ashley Landoff) of Santa Barbara, CA, and Michael Wright (Shelby) along with 1 grandchild, Archer Lee Wright of Williamsburg, OH.
Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2026 from 5pm-8pm at Science Hill First Baptist Church with Bro. Ed Massey officiating.
