Edward Alden Keith, age 78 of Monticello, Kentucky, passed from this life on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
He was born on May 12, 1947 in Parkers Lake, Kentucky, son of the late Arvel Atlas and Della Margaret Branscum Keith.
Edward was the former owner and operator of D&K Trucking. He was of the Baptist faith and when he was able, he attended Liberty Baptist Church. He spent 14 years in the US Navy and served 3 tours in Vietnam. He was also a member of the Monticello DAV Chapter #105. Edward will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arvel and Della Keith; his wife of 57 years, Darlene Canada Keith; son, Anthony Wayne Keith and daughter, Tonia Keith Wooten. He is survived by his sisters, Euetta Keith Morrow and Justene Keith Foster; and a host of friends and extended family members to mourn his passing.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Adam Evans officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery in Kidder. Military Honors will be provided by the Monticello DAV Chapter #105 Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
