Mildred Morgan Warman, a loving mother, grandmother, and devoted Christian passed away peaceful
(under Hospice care) on March 12, 2025, at the age of 84, she was surrounded by her family. Mildred was born in McCreary County, Ky on April 27, 1940, to the late Joe and Telvis Anders Morgan Hamilton. She was known for her beautiful smile and her unwavering dedication to her children and grandchildren, and her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and countless cherished memories.
Mildred married Cleamon Warman on July 28, 1958, and was a devoted wife for 41 years. Mildred is survived by her children, Teresa (John) Range of Versailles, Ky, Randall (Kay) Warman of Georgetown, Ky, Trudy (Miguel) Cortes of Somerset, Ky, and Tammie (Herb) Dozier of Bronston, Ky.
She is survived by 23 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Tiffany (Doug) Strunk; Tamra (Eric) Strunk, Logan and Madison; Daniel (Miranda) Perry, Kaydan, Macie, and Lydia; Adrianne (Anthony) Phillips, Baylee and Harper; Justin (Ashton) Warman, baby girl; Taylor and McKinley Trimble; Telvis (Jarrod) Emerson, Tariel and Kallie; Megan Richardson, and Hannah (Aaron) Eldridge, Hunter, Eli, Blaise and Jordyn. Mildred is also survived by one sister, Imogene Staley of Sawyer, Ky, many nieces, nephews, and extended family, and a host of church friends who knew her as “Mam-maw”.
Mildred was a seamstress for many years at the Shirt Factory in Stearns, Ky and Palm Beach Holding Company in Somerset, Ky, she also worked in guest services at Cumberland Falls State Park, in McCreary County/Whitley County, Ky.
Mildred is proceeded in death by her parents, her husband, and five siblings, Junior Morgan, Gertrude Wilson, Cleta Bryant, Clarence Morgan, Harold Morgan, and also her brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law whom she had a special bond, Aliene, W.O., Eckle, Joyce, and Thurman.
Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers include: Doug Strunk, Eric Strunk, Logan Strunk, Daniel Perry, Anthony Phillips, Justin Warman, McKinley Trimble, Jarrod Emerson, Hunter and Eli Watkins, and Blaise Eldridge.
Mildred had many hobbies, some of the things she enjoyed the most were spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, sewing, quilting, gardening, planting flowers, cooking, word search puzzles, and singing. She was an avid Bible reader and her favorite place to pray was at her sewing machine. Prior to her illness, Mildred could be found weekly with her church “sewing ladies” making prayer quilts for the sick, individuals in the hospital or had surgery, and those under Hospice care, and newborn babies.
When Mildred was a young mother, she made many of her children’s clothing and as her children and grandchildren grew up, she made wedding dresses, prom dresses, and dress suits for many of them.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 17, 2025 from 6-8pm in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at 1pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mill Creek Cemetery in Parkers Lake, Kentucky. Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Mildred Morgan Warman.
