Geraldine “Bean” Roberts Kidd, age 78 of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at her home.
She was born on March 15, 1948 in Leslie Co. Kentucky, daughter of the late Johnny and Fannie Minard Roberts. She had worked as a server at Cracker Barrel and Western Steer. She enjoyed playing bingo, traveling, cooking, serving others and being a caretaker. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Amel Bubnick, Sr; and brother, Rollie Roberts.
She is survived by her husband, James Kidd; daughters, Jamie Meece of Somerset and Marlena (Skylar) Phillips of Burnside; sons, Amel Bubnick, Jr of Somerset, John (Cristy) Bubnick of Campbellsville, Allen (Cheryl) Kidd of Somerset, Charles (Debbie) Kidd of Somerset, and Roger (Shelley) Kidd of Tateville; brothers, Clinton Roberts, Clayton Roberts, Ray Roberts, and Bill Roberts; and sisters, Diane Cornett and Loretta Baker all of Hyden; grandchildren, Amelia Bubnick, Austin Bubnick, Sydney Rooney, Shelby Shofner, Mia Bubnick, Mason Bubnick, and William Meece; and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Science Hill.

Frank and I are sending our greatest and most sincere condolences to Janie Shannon and John and geraldine’s husband and the grandchildren and the in-laws. She was always so kind and good to other people may she rest in peace.
Oh. James, I am just seeing this today. I will always remember how kind you and your wife were to me. Loved talking to her and getting advice. She will be so missed.

This is the sweetest lady and I truly mean that from my heart. She was always so nice and kind with a beautiful smile. She was a fantastic waitress and I will never forget her. My prayers are with all the family. You have my deepest sympathy for your loss. She is one lady that I will always remember. She was just beautiful on the inside as well as the outside.
