Mrs. Alta Cox, age 80, of Nancy, Kentucky, passed from this life on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
Alta was born on December 13, 1945 to the late Estill Mullins and Callie Collins Mullins in Hazard, Kentucky,
She was of the Church of God faith, she enjoyed reading, especially Amish Novels, collecting dolls and Indians. She was married to the love of her life for 60 years and cherished her family.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Marcus Cox.
Alta leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband, Bruce Cox, her daughter, Shirley Cox-Spaulding of Nancy and her son Jerry Spencer of Hazard, Ky.
Graveside service will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026 at 10am at Southern Oaks Cemetery with Charlotte Jero officiating.
