Herman Lenville Tucker, age 88, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Sunday, October 18, 2026 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
Herman was born on March 18, 1938 to the late Harley Tucker and Lura Jones Tucker in Mountain View, Kentucky.
He was an educator for over 30 years, he was a Public Address Announcer for Brookville High School for basketball and football, President of Board of Directors of the Community Mental Health Center, Franklin County Teachers Association and Song Leader at Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Phillip Ray Tucker and Boyce Dean Tucker. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Wilma Joyce Tucker, his sons: Joey D. Tucker and Eric A. Tucker, brothers: Leon Clyde Tucker and Jeffery Tucker, sisters: Sue Carol Wagner, Janice Davis, Sheila Gilreath, and Clotine Branscum, grandchildren: Serena Tucker, Erica “Ashley” Tucker, Lucas Tucker, and Ella Tucker.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2026 from 11am-12pm in the Southern Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with a funeral service to begin at 12pm with Bro. Kevin Hampton officiating. Burial will follow in Southern Oaks Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Potters Place Church. Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Herman Lenville Tucker.
