Harold D. Floyd age 77, of Science Hill, Kentucky, passed from this life on Friday, June 27, 2025 at his home.

He was born on November 20, 1947, in Estesburg, Kentucky, son of the late Jess and Cora Smiley Floyd. He was a retired Licensed Electrician and a member of Floyd Switch Baptist Church. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and hunting, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. Harold proudly served his country in the United States Air Force completing 2 tours of duty in Vietnam. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and 2 brothers, Pearl Floyd and Bill Floyd. He is survived by his wife of over 55 years, Ella Louise Floyd; son, Michael Floyd of Science Hill; daughter, Melissa Mckinney of Michigan; brothers, Darrell Floyd and Jack Floyd; sister, Juanita Henderson; 5 grandchildren, Josh, Madison, Mason, Dylan and Conner; and 4 great-grandchildren, Colsen, Cambre, Carmyn and Ryland.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 7, 2025, at Science Hill Cemetery with Bro. Jeff Griffin officiating. Full Military Honors will be provided by American Legion Post #38 Honor Guard.
