Johnny “Red” Phelps age 63, of Bronston, Kentucky passed from this life on Friday June 7, 2024 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. Johnny was born on April 26, 1961 in Somerset, Kentucky to the late Richard and Ruby Phelps. He was a member of the Huffaker Church of God. He enjoyed fishing, watching football and spending time with his grandbabies.
Mr. Phelps is preceded in death by his parents; son, Clayton Webster; brothers, Ricky Phelps and Ronald Phelps; sisters, Patricia Saylor and Sharon Phelps; grandchildren, Kinley Lyons and Abel Oakes.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, wife, Amy Webster Phelps; son, Christopher Phelps of Somerset, Kentucky; daughters, Stephanie Key (JC) of Somerset, Kentucky and Morgan Oakes (Trevor) of Nancy, Kentucky; brother, Jackie Phelps (Renee) of Somerset, Kentucky; grandchildren, Hayden Burton, Hayleyvon Burton, Conner Lyons, Landen Viar, Nevaeh Sutton, Korbyn Oakes, and Levi Oakes; and a special friend, John Strunk.
Visitation for Mr. Phelps will be June 11, 2024 from 1-3 in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 3 P.M.
In lieu of flowers expressions of Sympathy may be made to the Johnny “Red” Phelps Memorial Fund.
