Cynthia Jones Sears, age 61, of Somerset, Kentucky passed away on Monday, August 19, 2019 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life Service to begin at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home with Bro. Jason Moore officiating.
All family and friends are invited to attend this service in Cynthia’s honor.

Cindie was the best step/bonus mom I could have ever wanted. I can’t express enough how sad I am to have lost her.
I wanted Cindie to be a part of my wedding day. She was going to come and pick out dresses with me and my biological mom.
I’m so grateful for all the time that I got with her.
But especially Blaze. Blaze loved her more than anything and enjoyed spending the weekends with her or while Allie worked night shift.
My heart especially hurts for Blaze and Allie bc of how close they were to Cindie. Allie talked to her daily.
She was always someone we could go to for anything.
It’s hard to think about life without her. I don’t want to move on.
I want her to come to my dreams and tell me she’s ok. But I know she is, bc she is in heaven.
Lord have mercy on my dad, and Cindie’s family and especially her mom and dad.
NO parent should ever have to lose their child.

My prayers are with all of Cynthia’s family. I loved her like a sister just as I love her family as if they were my own. My deepest condolences are with all of you during these heartbreaking times. I sincerely love each of you.
