Lucinda “Cindy” Ann Fields, age 72, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
She was born on May 3, 1946 in Kingwood, West Virginia, daughter of the late Fred and Rosella Hinebaugh Koch.
Cindy enjoyed camping, historical travel and was an avid reader. She was a retired career counselor for E.T.R. and a member of St. Patrick Episcopal Church in Somerset, Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Rosella Koch; and a son, Scott W. Fields.
She is survived by her husband, Rick Fields; son Michael (and Cindy) Fields of Olive Branch, Mississippi; daughter Kim (and Jason) Thayer of Somerset; brother Fred Koch, Jr. of Kingwood, West Virginia, four grandchildren, Bryce Fields, Shelbi Fields, Jacob Thayer and Eli Thayer; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, camping friends, and her beloved dog Cheerio Jack.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at St. Patrick Episcopal Church, 206 W. Columbia St. Somerset, KY 42501 with visitation at the church beginning at 9:00 a.m. with interment to follow at St. Patrick Episcopal Memorial Garden.
Mother Chris Brannock will be officiating and a reception will follow at the parish house after the service.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to St. Patrick Memorial Garden.
Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Lucinda “Cindy” Ann Fields.

Sincere condolences on the loss of Cindy. When I first met her and Rick in Elkins WV in 1983, I remember her witty exchanges with Rick, her laugh, and her sense of humor. Good memories.
