Mary M. Branscum, age 73, of Nancy, Kentucky, passed from this life on Sunday, September 13, 2026 at her home.
Mary was born on June 14, 1953 to the late Estill Neeley and Sarah Carrender Neeley in Monticello, Kentucky.
She was of the Baptist faith. She loved farming and watching horror movies. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandbabies.
Along with her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Branscum, brothers Charles “Chewy” Neeley, Milford Neeley, Dallas Neeley and Cressel Neeley, sisters Myrtle Edwards and Jean Morfield.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son Doug Branscum (Amanda) of Nancy; daughters: Sally Branscum and Sarah Frey (Joe) all of Prestonsburg, Ky; sisters Alma Neeley of Monticello, Ky and Sheila Neeley of Nancy; grandchildren: Trisha Conrad (Joey), Hunter Branscum (Haylea) all of Somerset; Michele Branscum (Anthony) of Cynthiana, Ky; great-grandchildren: Virginia and Jayden Conrad, Brantley, Lila, and Boone Branscum, Weston Branscum and one on the way.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 from 11am to 1pm in the Southern Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with a funeral service to begin at 1pm with Bro. Joseph Frey officiating. Burial will follow in Southern Oaks Cemetery.
