Judy Ann Burton, age 72 of Nancy, Kentucky, passed from this life on Friday, May 1, 2026 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
She was born on July 16, 1953 in Somerset, Kentucky, daughter of the late Herbert Allen and Reva M. Johnson Coomer.
Judy retired from the Pulaski County Board of Education and was a member of Okalona Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening and reading.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Reva Coomer; and a brother, Dale Coomer. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Weldon Burton; son, Kevin (Casey) Burton of Somerset; daughter, Mindy (Matt) Preston of Taylorsville, KY; brother, Danny (Marcia) Coomer of Somerset; sisters, Sue (Galen) Jasper of Jabez and Debbie (Robert) Barnes of Somerset; grandchildren, Peyton Phelps, Braxton Burton, Kayla Reeder and Kayden Reeder; and 3 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, May 4, 2026 at Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Gerald Ashley and Bro. Gary Morris officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery.
