Lacy “Kayo” Elesberry Pitts, age 83, of Nancy, Kentucky, passed from this life on Monday, April 27, 2026, at Baptist Health in Lexington, Kentucky.
Lacy was born on December 28, 1942 to the late Howard Pitts and Mary Jackson Pitts in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky.
He was a member of Sievers Masonic Lodge #491 in Nancy, Ky. He enjoyed music, spending time with his family on Lake Cumberland, razor riding, motorcycles, old cars, and I.D.K.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Bentley Pitts, brother Rick Pitts, sister Ann Lou Mitchell.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, son Lacy Brian Pitts and daughter Serena Gordon (Zac) both of Nancy; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026 at 5pm in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 11am at the funeral home with Bro. Victor Catalino officiating. Burial will follow in Potter Shop Baptist Church Cemetery. Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Lacy “Kayo” Elesberry Pitts.
