Orrin Eugene Bray, age 65, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at UK Medical Center in Lexington.
He was born on July 8, 1960 to the late Virgil Bray and Nanie Lizzie (Neely) Bray in Amherst, Ohio.
He was of the Baptist faith, and he enjoyed camping, telling stories, he loved children and making others laugh. He was a talented carpenter and artist, a friend to many, and was always helping others.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Billy Bray, Bobby Bray, and Kenneth Bray, sisters: Brenda Bray, Wilma Buchanan, Anna Lee Haynes and Wanda Faye Auxier.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his brothers: Thomas Bray and Michael Bray (Brenda), sisters: Donna Taylor (Pete) and Mary Troxtle; along with a multitude of nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2026 from 12pm-1pm in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 1pm with Bro. Raymond Ridner officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt.Victory Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Orrin Eugene Bray Memorial Fund C/O Southern Oaks Funeral Home.

Eugene was a great person I knew him thru his wife Mary Mae Smith Bray whom was my dear brother n laws Elvis Smiths sister ..Mary Mae and Elvis were always big cut ups and lives of any party..I think thats why Eugene and Mary Mae made such a great team..both both were great fun loving people and so much fun to be around..both loved children dearly..he and Mary Mar will be greatly missed as is Elvis his brother n law and my sister Judy..they all were such fun loving kind people to be around..my prayers go out to his family..!
We will miss you Eugene and I know you would be disappointed that your precious wife, Mary Bray, is not listed in the obit.
