Betty Sue Bell, age 81 of Burnside, Kentucky, passed from this life on Friday, July 18, 2025 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland.

She was born on March 20, 1944 in Albany, Kentucky, daughter of the late Ellis Stinson and Ina Melton.

Betty owned and operated Bell’s Wrecker Service for over 30 years with her late husband, Jim Bell. She was also a homemaker and had worked at Palm Beach for many years. She enjoyed quilting and raising grandbabies. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James “Jim” Earl Bell; son, Robert Bell; several brothers and sisters; and close friend, Barabara Sullivan. She is survived by her sons, Billy Bell of Burnside, Eddie Bell of Science Hill and James (Lisa) Bell, Jr. of Burnside; a daughter, Brenda (John) Wheat of Jefferson City, TN; a sister, Margaret (Carl) Redinbo of Lafayette, Indiana; grandchildren, Bobbie Jo, Darrell “Cooter”, Billy Jo, Zack, Bridgette, Michael, James Andrew, Christopher, Debra, Jamie Nicole and Jacob Robert; 19 great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

Funeral Procession will leave Southern Oaks Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 23, 2025. Graveside Services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Quinton Cemetery with Bro. Cecil Bowling officiating. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
