Darlene Sears, age 62 of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on June 7, 2025 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
She was born on January 30, 1963 in Columbus, Ohio, daughter of the late Claude and Gladie Ferguson Gilliam.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening. She loved her dogs Willow, Raven, Biscuit and Sugar and loved plants. Most of all, she loved being a mother and wife and spending time with her family. She was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Robert Gilliam and Richard Gilliam, and a sister, Wanda Gilliam.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Sears; sons, Roger Gilliam and Richard Gilliam both of Somerset; daughters, Loretta (Don) Watkins and Stephanie (Ernest) Atwell both of Columbus, Ohio; brothers, Tony Gilliam and Steve Gilliam both of Columbus, Ohio; and a godson, Isaac Grote.
At her request there will be no services.
