Nathan A. Meeks age 83, of Somerset, passed away on May 23, 2025. He was born on September 25, 1941, in Jabez, Kentucky to the late Hollie and Ora (Perkins) Meeks. He is survived by his son Steven (and CJ) Meeks and his daughter Jenny (and Christopher) Cord. He is also survived by his granddaughter Kasey who was his pride and joy, a great friend Joyce Stevenson, Kim Mink his niece and many extended family members. Nathan was a long-time member of High Street Baptist Church and was retired from Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, and Sommerset Community College.

He was proceeded in death by his wife Ruth, who he married in 1973, his parents Hollie and Ora (Perkins) Meeks, and his siblings Elsie Wilson, Euguene Meeks, Lonnie Meeks, Rosie Huges, and Lois King.

Nathan’s funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday May 27, 2025, at Southern Oaks Funeral Home with pastor Stan Rutland officiating. His visitation will be held from 12:00PM to 2:00PM before the funeral service. Nathan will be laid to rest in Somerset Cemetery after the service.
