Paul McGowan age 74, of Somerset, Kentucky passed from this life on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at his home.
Paul was born on September 2, 1950 to the late Carson McGowan and Bertha Keck McGowan in Russell Springs, Kentucky.
He enjoyed NASCAR racing, watching westerns, going out to eat out, especially McDonalds. He proudly served his country 2 tours in the Vietnam war in the United States Army and he was very patriotic.
Paul was preceded in death by his wife Marian Jasper McGowan, his parents, Carson and Bertha McGowan and brothers: Ray, Joe, and Ricky McGowan
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his son David Jones of Somerset, Ky; daughters: Shanna Hardwick-McGowan, Jennifer Jones and Jerri Jones all of Somerset, Ky; Ester Leonard (Jerry) and Dottie Jones both of IN; along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 from 12pm-2pm in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Tunnel to Towers.
Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at 2pm at Pisgah Cemetery.
Military Honors will be conducted by American Legion Honor Guard Post #38.
