Patricia Ann Meece Wright, age 78 of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Friday, May 16, 2025 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

She was born on February 26, 1947 in the Cedar Grove Community, daughter of the late Eugene Meece and Edna Stigall Mounce.

She was baptized at the age of 15 and in her younger years she attended Cedar Grove Baptist Church.

Patti was loved by all that knew her. She lived deeply and fully. She always had a welcoming smile and loved helping others.  She loved and cared for anything living. She also found joy in everything outdoors and going for drives out in the country. Spring was her favorite as she could then be outside and attend to her plants. She loved music and dancing to old country and rock. Scrapbooking was something she also enjoyed when she wasn’t outside or cooking. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jimmy Wright; brother, Ronnie Meece; grandparents, Walter and Cordelia Stigall and Edgar and Lara Meece; sons-n-law, Jimmie Guffey and George Davis; and a nephew, David Meece.

She is survived by her daughters, Tammy Guffey of Monticello and Cheri Davis of Dayton, Ohio; her fiancé, Homer Davis of Somerset; brother, Roger (Debbie) Meece of Somerset; and grandchildren, Cindy Davis (fiancé Daniel Walden), David Davis, Brittany (Nathan) Phipps, Jason Guffey, Alane (Brian) Gregory, David Davis, Isaac, Dustin, Anthony, Zetta, Katelyn, Cara, Logan, Riley, Autumn and Gage; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 19, 2025 at Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Ogle officiating. Burial will be in the Pitman Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland, St Jude Children’s Hospital or Pitman Creek Cemetery Fund.
