Bro. Emmett Wayne Lanham age 90, of Somerset, Kentucky passed from this life on Sunday, May 11, 2025 at his home.
Emmett was born on August 13, 1934 to Glenn Lanham and Louise Reynolds Lanham in Winchester, Kentucky.
He was the founding Pastor of Tabernacle Pentecostal Ministries, where he remained a member until death. He was a pastor for over 60 years and a Christian above all else. He was a great prayer warrior, he built Churches in Mexico, Haiti, Honduras, and multiple in the United States. He built a Christian School and was the Administrator for 18 years. He was the founder of Camp Dove, a board member and supporter of Galilean Children’s Home. Along with proudly serving his country in the United States Marines.
Emmett was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Louise Lanham, his wife Betty Lanham, sons Wayne and David Lanham, brother Rusty Lanham, sister Evelyn Oscarson.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife Ruth, his daughter Darla Denham (Mal) of Eubank, Ky; brother Vern Lanham (Marion) of AZ; sister Juanita Rea of MN (who loved him dearly), daughter-in-law, Annette Lanham of NJ; grandchildren: Angie Ping (Sam), Nathaniel Denham (Sarah), Elizabeth Lanham (Matt), Stephen Lanham, great-grandchildren: Emily Ping, Cameron Ping, Adreanna Ping, Matthew Ping, Ashley Denham, Sophia Lanham, Vicent Lanham, Cecilla Lanham,; along with a host of friends and family.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025 from 5pm-8pm at Tabernacle Pentecostal Ministries.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025 at 11am at the church with Bro. Jerry Burnett, Bro. Ralph Tennison and Bro. Sammy Singleton officiating. Burial will follow in Lanham Town Cemetery in Casey County, Kentucky.
