Billy Ray Lewis age 65, of Burnside, Kentucky passed from this life on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, following a long illness.
Billy was born on May 14, 1959 to the late Delbert Lewis and Shirley Ann Morrow Lewis in Somerset, Kentucky.
He was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching TV, playing Rook, joking and making others laugh, and repairing small engines.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert and Shirley Lewis, infant sister Vickie Lou Lewis, mother-in-law, Carrie Roberts, favorite cousin Theodore Vaughn, special nephew Nathan Brake and special dog- his best friend, Buster.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his fiancé of 28 years Nancy Kindrick, daughters: Ashley Bakston (Nate) and Shawna Kindrick (Brian) both of Burnside, Ky and Candy Heatley (Sam) of Ashland, OH; brothers: Danny Lewis (Kim), David Lewis, and Mike Lewis all of Somerset, Ky; sisters: Mary Ann Wesley (James) of Bethelridge, Ky; Debbie Sue Linville (David) of Somerset, Ky; and Kathy Johns (Charlie) of Lexington, Ky; along with several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 from 12pm to 2pm in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 2pm with Bro. Lester Randolph officiating. Burial will follow in Southern Oaks Cemetery. Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Billy Ray Lewis.
