Brian Lee Putteet, age 53 of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Friday, March 28, 2025 at the University of Louisville Hospital.

He was born on January 21, 1972 in Hamilton, Ohio, son of the late Jerry Myer Putteet, Jr.  and Norma Childers Putteet.

He was a Veteran of the United States Army and worked for Greg Hamm Plumbing. He was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church and enjoyed dancing, hunting, fishing, woodworking and he loved being with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, BriLee Kay Putteet; and brother, Jerry Todd Putteet.

He is survived by his son, Matthew Lee Putteet of Lexington; daughters, MacKenzie Putteet (Nik Schultz) of Georgetown and Lilee Alexander of Somerset; sisters, Kristina Smith (Jimmy) and Melissa Putteet (Jack New) all of Somerset; a granddaughter, Sadie Schultz and his significant other, Tonya Sprinkles of Somerset.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 2, 2025 beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home with Bro. Alan Fisher officiating. Burial will be in Kingtown Cemetery in Strunk, KY.

Pallbearers will be Robbie Baker, Bryan Denney, Josh Lockard, Alex Wesley, Greg Hamm, Craig Smith and Matthew Lee Putteet.

Military Honors will be provided by American Legion Post #38 Honor Guard. 

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Brian Lee Putteet Memorial Fund C/O Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
