Kenny Wayne Simpson age 67, of Bronston, Kentucky, passed from this life on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

Kenny was born on February 28, 1958 to the late Everett Simpson and Flonnie Mae Rednour Simpson in Delta, Kentucky.

He was of the Baptist faith and attended Potters Place Church when he was able. He enjoyed watching racing and UK sports. He graduated from Burnside High School in 1976, where he played basketball, he retired as a truck driver from Hinkle Construction.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Flonnie Simpson, nephew Jeffrey Simpson, paternal grandparents Shafter and Ora Simpson, maternal grandparents Jim and Mattie Rednour, brothers-in-law: Melton Jones and Bill Joe Lawhorn.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his brothers: Dewey Simpson of Somerset, Ky and Donnie Simpson of London, Ky; sisters: Mary Lee Edwards, Norma Dick (Michael), Phyllis Jones, Linda Simpson (Bryan Kennedy) all of Somerset, Ky; his best friend, Virgil Dalton; along with a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, family and friends.

Private visitation will be held for family and friends on Monday, March 24, 2025 at 12pm in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 1pm with Bro. Larry Simpson officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery in Kidder, Kentucky.
