John H. Crabtree age 63, passed away from this life on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at his home. John was born on July 30, 1961 to Leonard Crabtree and Joyce L. Tomlinson Crabtree in Somerset, Kentucky. He was of the Church of God faith. When he was young he loved playing wiffle ball with his family and early on John showed talent in and a love for baseball where he had many achievements playing in the Pulaski County Babe Ruth League. He also loved watching UK basketball, fishing and was a car enthusiast with a love for Corvettes. John was preceded in death by his mother Joyce L. Crabtree, brothers, Leonard Wayne Mullins, Charles Richard Calder and a sister Vickie Lou Calder. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife Melissa Brotherton Crabtree of Bronston, KY, his father Leonard Crabtree; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and his fur baby “Miss Kitty”. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025 from 12-2pm in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 2pm with Bro. Doug Walden officiation.
