Celesta “Celeste” Carrender passed from this life on March 10th, 2025 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
Celesta was a former cook for many years. She enjoyed spending time with grandchildren. She enjoyed a simple life with family & friends. She loved to travel when she was able, listening to music, singing Karaoke & spending time at the lake.
Celeste was born in Cincinnati Ohio to Edeltraud “Trudy” Paul & Jerry Wayne Kelley Sr.
Celeste is survived by her father Jerry Wayne (Gwenda) Kelley Sr.
Daughters Melia (Justin) Proffitt, Chelsea Elmore (Shannon Mann)
Grandchildren Madelynn, Deborah “Gracie”, Kynlee, Paisley, Kolson, Ozzy & Jayvry.
Sisters Jennifer Surber, Jessica (Brian) Jackson, Shannon (Tyler) Hawkins, Margaret (Chase) Reis.
Brothers Jerry Wayne Kelley Jr. & Richard Kelley.
Nieces Haley, Sierra, Carlee-Anne, Raelynn, Camilla, Chloe, Lexi, Leah & Natalie.
Nephews Mason, Jackson, Lucian, Blake, Jesse & Carter.
Former Stepfather Jack Cothron
Former son-in-law Jason Rainwater
Former husband Calvin Carrender
& special friends Kim, Carla, Vena & Peggy.
A long with a host of aunts & uncles.
Preceded in death by her mother Edeltraud “Trudy” Paul & brother-in-law Adrian Loveday.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations to be made to Celesta Carrender Memorial Fund care of Southern Oaks Funeral Home in Somerset Kentucky. A graveside service will be held on March 12th, 2025 at 3pm at Southern Oaks
