Eddie (Tub) Whiles, 66, of Science Hill, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at the Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center.
He was born July 24, 1958 in Science Hill, KY; son of the late Harold (Turk) Whiles and Laverne (Tootsie) Calder-Whiles. He retired from Eagle Hardwood.
He is survived by his mother, three sons; Jonathan (Toby) Whiles of Pikeville, KY,
Austin (Gemma) Whiles of Eubank, KY; Brenden Whiles of Eubank, KY, one daughter, Alisha Oakes, of Bronston, KY; two brothers, Dallas (Angie) Whiles of Franklin, KY; Tim (Oreida) Whiles of Ferguson, KY; two sisters, Fran Spillman of Somerset, KY; Connie Wilson of Science Hill, KY; and five grandchildren, Matthew Hendricks of Somerset, KY; Brayden Whiles of Somerset, KY; Dagan Whiles of Somerset, KY; Scarlet and Willow Whiles, of Eubank, KY.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Vickie Lynn Whiles, whom he married on May 11, 1981 until her departure from this life on July 6, 1998; his father and three brother(s)-in-law, Rick Wilson, Mike Spillman, Andy Anderson and one sister-in-law, Susan Anderson Wesley along with his father & mother-in-law.
A funeral service will be held at 2PM Friday, February 14, 2025, at Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Ed Massey officiating. Burial will be in the Science Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 12 PM Friday, February 14, 2025, Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be: Austin Whiles, Brenden Whiles, Matthew Hendricks, Brayden Whiles, Seath Whiles and Zach Whiles. Honorary pallbearers will be, Moe Wilson, Rosie Wilson, Makayla Wilson, Zoey Wilson, Jaxon Whiles, Raegan Whiles, Liam Davis, Layton Whiles,
Scarlet and Willow Whiles.
