Ruby Juanita Wesley, passed from this life on February 9, 2025, at her home peacefully in her sleep. She was born in Whetstone, Kentucky on July 17, 1939 to the late Alonzo and Lillian Wright Hargis.

She married the loved of her life, Homer Clay Wesley on August 17, 1960 and was married for 43 years before his passing. She was a member of Langdon Street Baptist Church, she enjoyed going to church more than anything and her heart was always with church. She loved her fur babies “Rascal” and “Honey” and enjoyed word searches. Most of all Ruby cherished her family.

Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Clay Wesley, her parents, Alonzo and Lillian Hargis, brother Tassell Hargis and two sisters: Yvonne Hargis and Judy Silvers.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her sons: Jerrold “Jay” Wesley (loving daughter-in-law, Robin) and Homer Michael Wesley, grandson Gideon Wesley (Patti) and great-grandson Kyler Wesley, sisters: Elaine Simpson, Elizabeth Hansford, and one brother Ellis Hargis. A very special brother-in-law, Doug Silvers, six nephews, 2 nieces, a host of friends, and her Langdon Street Church family whom she loved.

 Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2025 from 11am to 1pm in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 1pm with Bro. Logan Hargis officiating. Burial will follow in Mill Springs National Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Gideon Wesley, Doug Silvers, Mark Wright, Darrin Hargis, Caleb Wilson and Leslie Cummins. Honorary Pallbearer that is not able to be here but she loved like a son, Allen Joseph Roberts.
