Betty Ann Wooton Mounce, of Eubank, KY, entered into Heaven, suddenly, on January 31st, 2025, at the age of 74. She left this life in the presence of her husband and grandson, in Nicholasville, KY.
Ann was born in Cincinnati, OH on December 21st, 1951, to the late Bruce and Maxine Smith Wooton, formerly of Science Hill, KY. She was a member of the Oak Hill Baptist Church. Ann worked for the state of KY in unemployment insurance in Somerset for many years and also had a successful photography business in the 1980s. She married Louie Mounce, after he returned from Vietnam, on August 30th, 1969. Ann enjoyed sewing, tending to her plants, fishing, feeding birds, spending time with her children and grandchildren, supporting her husband’s book ministry, and helping others in whatever way she could.
Ann was a cherished and blessed wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend to so many. She always looked for ways to help others and devoted her life to God, her husband, her children, and the rest of her family.
Ann was proceeded in death by her parents, two sisters (Debra Kay Wooton and Patty Wooton Brandenburg), and a granddaughter, Gabrielle Rae Merrick of Stanford, KY.
Ann is survived by her husband, Louie Mounce of Eubank , KY, her two children, Joe Mounce (and Cassie) of Eubank, KY, and Emily Mounce Merrick (and Jason) of Stanford, KY. She also leaves behind 9 grandchildren. They are Savannah Burkhart (and Josh), Lucas Tucker, Haley Massey (and Davin), Karissa Mounce, McKenna Merrick, Olivia Merrick Livasy (and Hagan), Lincoln Merrick, Sadie Merrick, and Cooper Merrick. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at 9am-11am in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 11am with Bro.Rick Barker officiating. Burial will follow in the Science Hill Cemetery. Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Betty Ann Wooton Mounce.
