Sandra P. East, age 65, of Bronston, Kentucky, passed from this life on Friday, January 24, 2025 at her home.
Sandra was born on March 29, 1959 to the late Joseph Ping Sr. and Doris Jean Ard Eldridge in Somerset, Kentucky.
She worked at Estes Body Shop before going to work at Oakwood. She enjoyed dirt track racing, UK Basketball, Flea Markets, crocheting, driving a lawn mower, yard sales, live auctions and loved spending time with her family and friends. She adored her fur babies, “Bennett” and “Peanut”.
Sandra was preceded in death along with her parents; sisters: Tina Morrow and Diana Bray.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 25 years, David Michael “Mike” East, children: Kevin (Iris) Estes and Amanda (Scott) Lane, brothers: Joe Ping and Jeff Ping, stepchildren: Jessica East and Sarah East, grandchildren: Mistaya (Trevor) Denton, Hayley (Gary) Smith, Sylvia (Thomas) Watson, Brian Estes, Aaron (Kenzie) Todd, great-grandchildren: Skyla Peters, Gabe Smith and Samson Denton; along with special niece, Michelle Dalton.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025 at 5pm in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Carson Atwood officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland. Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Sandra P. East.
Great lady! Worked with her at Oakwood and she was always a blast to be around. Gonna miss her smile and jokes.
So sorry to hear of Sandi passing. She was a character,always full of life. My heartfelt sympathy to her family.
