Mr. Sherman N. Dick, age 69, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Sunday, December 29, 2024.
Sherman was born on November 23, 1955 to the late Harold Dick and Mary Ellen Dykes Dick in Nancy, Kentucky.
He was a devoted member of Denham Street Baptist Church. He never met a stranger, he enjoyed mowing yards, walking and going to Wendy’s.
Sherman was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Mary Ellen Dick.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his sisters: Francis Dick of Burnside, Ky; Joyce McClure (Mike) of LA; Wilda Gossett of AL; Faye Dick and Helen McDaniel (Brian) all of AZ; brothers: Morris Dick (Tammy) of Somerset, Ky; James Dick (Angel) of Newman, GA; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2025 from 2 to 8pm in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Visitation will continue on Friday morning, January 3, 2025 from 10am to 2pm at Denham Street Baptist Church with a funeral service to begin at 2pm with Bro. Jeff Griffith officiating. Burial will follow in Southern Oaks Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Sherman Dick Monument Fund.
