Samuel Leonard Stevenson, age 87 of Nancy, Kentucky passed from this life on Sunday, December 15, 2024 at his home.
He was born on September 18, 1937 in Nancy, Kentucky, son of the late Tye and Hattie Burton Stevenson.
He was a self-employed carpenter and when he was able, he attended Okalona Missionary Baptist Church. He was a hard worker and enjoyed horseback riding.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Johnny Stevenson; brother, Lyle Stevenson; and a sister, Zella Rodgers.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Bonnie Stevenson; daughters, Samantha Stevenson (Sam Godbey) of Nancy and Teresa (Tony) Fields of Lexington; brothers, Charles (Mary Beth) Stevenson of Nancy, Harold (Rodie) Stevenson of Clarksville, TN, Stanley (Linda) Stevenson of Nancy and Leland (Nancy) Stevenson of Nancy; sister, Doris Merrick of Nancy; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; along with several nieces, nephews, and a host of other family members and friends.
