Greg Sewell, age 48 of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington.
He was born on December 16, 1975 in Ferguson, Kentucky, son of the late Bobby H. and Barbara Wilson Sewell.
Greg worked for the Pulaski County Board of Education and attended Whetstone Baptist Church. He enjoyed farming, hunting, playing basketball with his sons, motorcross, watching UFC and mechanic work. Most of all he loved and cherished his family. Greg will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Christy Sadler Sewell; and 2 sons, Eli Braxton Sewell and Peyton Blake Sewell, all of Somerset.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 16, 2024 at Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Mickey Winter officiating. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Peyton Sewell, Jason Sadler, Dakota Sadler, Russell Sewell, Jason Eaton and Stanley Chitwood. Honorary Pallbearer will be Eli Sewell.
